Winter Platter Decoration

Traditionally we take the Christmas tree down and remove the Christmas decoration after Epiphany (usually on weekend after 6th January). The house became so empty and a little bit sad, the spring is far and I am not in carnival mood yet. So, I thought, let's do some winter decoration!

Hagyományosan Vízkereszt után szedjük le a karácsonyfát és az egyéb karácsonyi dekorációt (általában hétvégén). A ház ilyenkor nagyon üressé válik, talán kicsit szomorúvá is. A tavasz még messze van, és nem is vagyok még túl farsangi hangulatban. Így aztán azt gondoltam, csináljunk egy kis téli dekorációt!

I though the two main elements of this composition should be dry branches and this lovely small snow-man. After that we need some candles - I am not ashamed of reusing half-burned candles. Of course the cones still remain a little while and the artificial snow is spectacular as well. My platter probably does not suits for winter theme, but we can arrange the items that way to hide the colourful parts. So we can get this final white-brown composition.

A kompozíció két fő elemeként száraz faágakra és egy kis helyes hóember figurára gondoltam. Aztán szükség van néhány gyertyára - én nem restellem a félig használt gyertyáimat újrahasznosítani. Természetesen egy kicsit még maradhatnak a tobozok és némi műhóra is szükség van. A tálam ugyan nem annyira télies mintázatú, de az elemeket ügyesen elhelyezve teljesen kitakarhatjuk az élénk részeket, így kapva meg a végső fehér-barna kompozíciót.
