Spring Riot of Colors

Sometimes I wish I could slow down the time in spring because everything happens so quickly. After a long winter I always wait for the plants in bloom, but this year the weather went crazy and I can hardly follow and enjoy the flowers in blooming. For example one week away meant that I was almost missing the flowering of tulips. Then came the frost and continuous rain ... aaaaa.

Néha azt kívánom, bárcsak lelassulna az idő így tavasszal, mert minden olyan gyorsan történik. A hosszú tél után, mindig úgy várom, hogy a növényeim virágba boruljanak, de ebben az évben az időjárás megbolondult, így elég nehezen tudom követni és élvezni a virágaimat. Például egy hét távollét után szinte lekéstem a tulipánok virágzását. Aztán meg jött a fagy és a folyamatos eső .... ááááá.

Ok, but let's see what interesting I've found in the garden about one week ago.

Oké, de lássuk csak, mi érdekeset találtam a kertben úgy egy héttel ezelőtt.

Pansies are beautiful, I was never disappointed of them. And the tulips that have remained: fortunately in shady areas they are blossoming out later.

Az árvácskák gyönyörűek, soha nem csalódtam még bennük. És a tulipánok, amik maradtak: szerencsére az árnyékosabb részeken később nyílnak.

Moss phloxs are not in full sun even blossoming well.

A lángvirágok ugyan nincsenek napos helyen, mégis szépen virágoznak.

During this period the main accent is on the flower bed lying along the house in neighbour: here you can find the red flowering quince (Chaenomeles japonica), or the Kerria (Kerria japonica) and Oregon-grape (Mahonia aquifolium) in bright yellow.

Ebben az időszakban a fő hangsúly a szomszéd ház mentén húzódó növényágyáson van: itt találhatjuk a pirosan virágzó japán birset, a sárgában pompázó boglárkát és mahóniát.

The shady corner is also ready for start: hostas in different species, ferns, lupins, and among them the still blossoming narcissi.

Az árnyékos sarok szintén startra kész: árnyékliliomok, páfrány, csillagfürt, s köztük a még mindig virágzó nárciszok.

I almost missed them: the spiraea (Spirea x vanhouttei) and tamarisk (Tamarix tetrandra).

Szinte lekéstem őket: gyöngyvessző és tamariska.

Finally some pictures from the vegetable garden: the sour-cherry tree in blossom, but I'm afraid we won't have any peaches, apricots, cherries or plums to eat this year ... they became the victims of frost. Finding consolation in some strawberries and peas hopefully.

Végül néhány kép a veteményesből is: a meggyfa virágzásban, de attól félek nem sok barackot, sárgabarackot, szilvát és cseresznyét eszünk az idén ... mind a fagy áldozatai lettek. Remélhetőleg vigasztalódunk egy kis eperrel és borsóval.
